Cookie policy.Cookies and browser storage kept to a minimum. No advertising, no tracking.
Browser storage and requested features
To make the site work we store a few pieces of information in your browser’s memory (localStorage, sessionStorage and the service worker cache: today no first-party cookie), all first-party: the cart; the session, if you sign in to your garden; the drafts of the forms while you fill them in (checkout, stall, contacts); your cookie choice, for six months, with the date and the version of this page; the preferences of the collection and of Rummage (filters, sizes, items you liked or set aside); the scores and the volume of the games, and the discount codes you win by playing, until you use them; the trace of a payment left halfway, to pick it up again; the point of the page when you go back and what you have already seen in this visit (the switch-on, the arcade); the date of your first visit, noted only after your cookie choice, so that from the second visit we can suggest adding the site to your Home Screen, and whether you closed that notice, so that we do not suggest it again; the copies of the site’s files (styles, fonts, code, logo) and of the one page that says the connection is missing, kept by the service worker to open the site faster and, with no connection, to show you that page instead of an error: no other page, and never your data, the checkout, the cart, your garden or the panel; and, only for those who work here, the access to the panel. This storage supports the features you use; it does not mean all these data stay only on the device. In Rummage, even without an account, the server receives the filters and measurements entered to search the catalogue. With an account, preferences, held items and alert choices are synced within the limits described in the privacy policy; measurements may stay local if account saving is unavailable and the site tells you so. Holding an item or requesting an alert does not subscribe you to the newsletter.
No analytics, no advertising
We use no analytics cookies: today there is no social pixel or advertising tracker here. When the Instagram and TikTok campaigns start, their pixel will switch on only after your yes, and this page will say so first.
Third-party services
Some external services can set their own cookies, and only when you use them. Nexi: when you pay you are taken to its page, where it can set technical anti-fraud cookies governed by its own policy. The Spotify player on the “Seeds & roots” page loads only if you click “Load the player”. The links to WhatsApp and Instagram take you off the site, where their own policies apply.
How to manage them
You can block or delete cookies and site data (localStorage, sessionStorage and the service worker cache) in your browser settings. You may lose the cart, local choices and the sign-in session. Clearing local storage does not delete data saved in the account: for these, the controls for preferences, held items and alerts and the erasure request described in the privacy policy apply.
